Privacy

Last updated 3 September 2026. This policy covers the site at payouts.ng and nothing else.

This page and the terms page are public. You do not need an account to read either of them. Payouts is an agent and affiliate commission record. It tracks what an agent has earned and what is owed. To pay you, we need your Nigerian bank account details, so this page tells you exactly what we hold, where it sits, and how to get it back or removed.

Who is responsible

Ranked Technologies Limited, RC 9522220, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, is the data controller. We are registered with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. Privacy questions go to support@ranked.ng and a person reads them.

No money moves through this site

Payouts records what is owed. It does not hold, receive, send or convert money. When a payout is approved, the business pays you from its own bank or Paystack account, outside this site. That makes the service non-custodial, and it is why no Central Bank of Nigeria licence is required for it.

Because of that, we never ask for and never store a card number, a card PIN, your BVN, your NIN or your bank password. If anything on this site asks you for those, it is not us.

What we collect

Only what you type in, plus what the business reports about commissions you earned. There is no profiling and no scoring. The whole store is four database tables, and this is what is in them.

Your login: Email address, and your password stored as a salted hash. We cannot read your password and neither can anyone else with access to the database.
Your payout details: Full name, postal address, country, bank name, bank code, your ten digit NUBAN account number and your phone number. The bank name, the bank code, the account number and the phone number are saved on your account record as one line of text in the payout instructions field, so that a person can prepare the transfer.
Your tracking links: The short code of each link, the label you gave it and a count of signups attributed to it.
Your balance and payouts: Each commission entry with its amount, its currency and a short note from the business saying what it was for, plus each payout request with its amount, its status and the transfer reference recorded after you were paid.
Your notification preference: Whether you asked to be told when your balance changes. See the section on email below, because that setting cannot do anything today.

Your account number is checked in your browser

The NUBAN check digit test that runs while you type happens entirely in your browser, in a script we wrote and serve ourselves. Nothing is sent anywhere while you are typing, and no bank or third party is contacted to verify the number. The account number reaches our server only when you press save.

Where your data is kept

This is the part most sites get wrong, so here it is plainly. The server is a Mac Studio in Istanbul, Türkiye. Your email address, your name, your address, your phone number and your bank account number are stored and processed in Türkiye, not in Nigeria.

Ranked Technologies Limited is a Nigerian company and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 applies to us. Because the processing happens in Türkiye, this is a cross border transfer under that Act. We are telling you here, before you sign up, rather than burying it.

Cloudflare sits in front of the site as our network provider and terminates the encrypted connection, so your traffic passes through Cloudflare's global network and Cloudflare keeps its own network logs.

Who can see it

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or ad networks, and there is no advertising on this site.

The people at Ranked Technologies who prepare payments can read your bank details. That is the only reason we hold them.
When we pay you, the account number and name go to the bank or payment provider used to send the money, because a transfer cannot happen otherwise.
Cloudflare handles the connection, as described above.
We will hand over data if a Nigerian court or a regulator with authority over us requires it.

Cookies and tracking

There are no analytics, no advertising tags, no session recorders and no third party scripts on this site. The fonts, the styles and the scripts are all served from our own server. We checked, and we would rather say it than claim something vaguer.

Before you log in, this site sets no cookie of its own. We checked the response headers on the login page and there is no cookie in them. When you log in, it sets one cookie named user_id. It holds your account number in encrypted form, it is what keeps you logged in, and it is removed when you log out.

Cloudflare is in front of the site, so it can set a short lived security cookie of its own if it challenges a visitor. That cookie belongs to Cloudflare, we do not read it, and it is not used to profile you.

What the site cannot do today

There is no mail relay connected to Payouts, so the site cannot send you email. That has three honest consequences:

You will not get a signup confirmation or a balance notification, whatever the notification setting says.
Password recovery does not work. The reset form will accept your address, but no message will arrive, because there is nothing to send it.
If you are locked out, write to support@ranked.ng from the address on your account. An operator checks who you are and resets the account by hand.

We would rather say this on the privacy page than let you sit waiting for a reset mail.

How long we keep it

Nothing on this site deletes itself. There is no automatic clean up in the code, so your account, your bank details, your balance entries and your payout history stay until you ask us to remove them or we close the account.

Ask us to delete your account and we will do it within 30 days. Records of payments already made may have to stay in our accounting records to meet Nigerian tax and company law, and we will tell you if that applies to you.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, stop or restrict what we do with it, or hand it to you in a portable form. You can also object to processing.

Write to support@ranked.ng. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

How the data is protected

We make no certification claims, because we hold none. What is actually true:

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, not as text.
The login cookie is encrypted with a key held only on our server.
The database is not published to the internet. It listens only inside the machine, and the site itself is reachable only through the Cloudflare tunnel.
Access to the server is limited to us. We are the only people who can read the database.
There is no off machine backup yet. If that server were lost, these records would be lost with it. We are working on it, and until then we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Children

Payouts is for adults who can hold a Nigerian bank account. We do not knowingly collect data about children.

Changes to this page

If we change what we collect or where it is stored, we change this page and update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we tell agents directly once the site can send email.
